Bruce Haiduk joined J.R. Shadley Acoustics as an associate in 2021, under the personal tutelage of his grandfather, Dr. John Shadley. Since then, he has completed dozens of jobs involving industrial noise control, commercial and office noise privacy, reverberation control, field sound transmission class (FSTC) testing, industrial standard compliance testing, and more. In 2024, he started B.D. Haiduk Acoustics, LLC as a continuation of Shadley Acoustics.
John Shadley has a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and an MS and Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Houston, specializing in acoustics. He worked as a consultant in acoustics for the Boston firm of Bolt Beranek and Newman Inc. for seven years. In 1977, he joined the Mechanical Engineering faculty of the University of Tulsa where he taught courses in acoustics, vibration, and noise control. While at TU, he started a part-time consulting business in acoustics and vibration, which he continued after leaving the university until passing it on to his grandson Bruce. Dr. Shadley remains with Haiduk Acoustics as a consultant.
